Agincourt
Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands
Here continues the Record of the Court of Gareth IV and Juliana IV, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, at Agincourt, October 28, AS LVIII in Their Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands; as reported by Baron Arias Beltran del Valle, Jewel of Æthelmearc Herald with the assistance of His Lordship Angellino the Bookmaker.
Their Majesties welcomed the populace to the day’s event and bid all find comfort for Their Court.
Lady Grainne Shionnach was summoned to court and given the dangerous responsibility of bearing the children’s toy chest away. And so she did, followed shortly by the children of the Kingdom to find a gift for their entertainment on the day.
Their Majesties next called to be attended by Lady Forveleth Dunde. Her labors for the Kingdom and the Barony were many and valuable, from serving as exchequer to organizing the setup of the Royal Encampment at Pennsic. With this in mind did Their Majesties add her to Their Order of the Keystone. Scroll by Morikawa Rei.
Lord Ingvar Sviatoslavic was next called before Their Majesties. He, too, had been known for good works in support of the manifold events and tasks that need to be done, and for doing so with a smile and a kind word. So did they also add him to Their Order of the Keystone. Scroll by Lady Katherine Kiersey.
Their Majesties next called Baroness Vika Vyborgskaia to Their presence. Her works in service to the kingdom were wide-ranging indeed, from serving as a Mistress of the Lists, to retaining, to working for reign staff, and coordinating classes, among other things. To these works did the Noble Order of the Millrind ascribe great value, and so, upon their recommendation did Their Majesties add her to that number. Scroll is a work by Duchess Branwyn ferch Gwythyr.
However, Their Majesties still felt that Order was incomplete, and so called before them Lady Maggie Rue. Her work in the kitchens of the kingdom, coupled with that of running the Games Tent at Pennsic and working with the Kingdom Assassin’s Guild had also caught notice of the Millrind and Their Majesties, and so was she, too, created a Millrind. Scroll was a work by Master Cristofano and Mistress Sadira.
His Grace Duke Thomas Byron of Haverford was next asked to attend Their Majesties. His prowess on the field was well-known to many in the kingdom. However, Their Majesties also found worthy of respect and plaudits his research into the arts of striking coin and gaming. Their Order of the Fleur did agree, and so did They add His Grace to that noble order. Scroll was a work by his Lordship Owen Tegg.
His Lordship Godzimir the Golden was next called to The Royal Presence. While his skill with thrown weapons had long been recognized, Their Majesties had also heard word of his prowess on the archery range as well. But They were not the only ones. Their Noble Order of the Scarlet Guard was also aware of his growing skill in that area, and so did Their Majesties bid them bear him from Their Court as one of that Order’s number. Scroll is a work by Mistress Ekaterina Volkova.
Next did His Majesty speak to the populace and ask for the attendance of Lady Elinor Walden, Lady Allegra and Mistress Ts’vee’a. His Majesty spoke of the practice of posthumous awards in the kingdom and how rarely they are given. However, one subject of the Kingdom had so demonstrated honor and growth on the archery range, They felt a decision made before his tragic loss should not then be withheld. So, with the Order of the Scarlet Guard present along with those closest to Lord Ronan O’Conaill did Their Majesties add him posthumously to the number of that Order so his skills and contributions to the kingdom on the archery range be duly remembered amongst the populace. Scrolls for his loved ones were works by his Lordship Owen Tegg and her Ladyship Rachel Dalicieux.
Next did Their Majesties call for His Lordship Sasson de Sancta Victoria. Long has he labored in a variety of capacities around the kingdom. Frequently could he be seen as a retainer, and his works of scribal art were seen to grace the walls of many amongst the populace. He teaches, serves, and makes himself useful wherever he can. For his consistent work to better the populace did Their Majesties create him a Baron of Their Court. Scroll is a work by Sir Arden Scot of Clan Scot.
Master Donnan MacDubhsidhe was invited to Their Majesties’ Presence. His skill and renown amongst the rapier community had long grown to the highest of heights. But the recognition he had earned was no longer deemed commensurate for his station. Their Most Noble Order of Defense agreed with that assessment, and so did Their Majesties bid him go forth and prepare to sit vigil and join that August order. Writ scroll is a work by her Ladyship Ylaire Sainte Claire.
Their Majesties then called for His Lordship Abdullah al-Rashid to attend Them. The places where Abdullah could be found in service to the Kingdom are manifold: he is a seneschal, a chamberlain and a marshal, and this only begins to describe the work he has done to improve the Kingdom. The Most Noble Order of the Pelican found those works worthy indeed, and with their assent, Their Majesties invited that Order to attend Them and did tell the Order to bear his Lordship hence to prepare his vigil. Writ scroll is a work by THL Gesa von Wellenstein.
The scribes and artisans who contributed their labor and talent to the creation of scrolls and awards issued on the day were called to attend Their Majesties and offered a token of appreciation so they may continue their great work.
Finally, Her Majesty spoke of the inspirational deeds witnessed that day and did name Lady Kolfinna Jodisardottir Her inspiration on the day and award her a Golden Escarbuncle.
There being no further business before Their Majesties, Their Court was then Closed.
